"Return
to Pontianak" (82 mins)
"Return
to Pontianak" is a Digital video-to-film transferred full
length horror feature film. Vacant Films was the first
company in Singapore (maybe even South East Asia) to embark upon
such an audacious undertaking. Since then, many others have followed
in the footsteps and commenced their own Digital video-to film
transferred projects.
"Return
to Pontianak" is based on a traditional Malayo-Polynesian
belief and is the South East Asian equivalent of the "Dracula"
myth in Europe. Its the first time since 30 years ago that any
film company has attempted to revive this highly popular supernatural
creature and is eagerly awaited by audience.
"Return
to Pontianak" was made for an incredibly low budget of S$107K
(US$ 100K)
